Can i install Snow Leopard in my Toshiba Satellite?

Hi there!
I'm new around here.
I have a toshiba satellite with linux running- I was wondering, is it possible to get it working with a Mac OS?

I believe Snow Leopard will be the best, because it has only got an Intel Dual Core and 4 gb ram.


The model is the following:

Toshiba Satellite c655-s5056

It came with Windows 7, originally...


Does anybody know if it is possible? I've been reading, and a couple of posts talk about installing Lion or Mavericks into a newer Toshiba Satellite...

Depends on hardware specs, which you have neglected to provide...

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

If your graphics is GMA 4500MHD, it is not supported on any version of OS X.

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M with 128MB-1341MB
dynamically allocated shared graphics memory

Is it possible with that GPU?

Intel Core i3-2310M CPU 2.10ghz
Nvidia GeForce GT540M Cuda 1GB
(Integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000)

Do you think it would be possible?

Your ASUS is compatible with Snow Leopard -> Mavericks (and beyond).
