I have an issue with my GPU not being supported.
I use a Firepro V4900 to run CAD software on my other windows installation. I have installed OSX 10.8.2 on another drive and it is almost fully functional. I'm able to run with HD4000 on my i5, but when I put my V4900 card in. It seems to go black screen when DVI is connected to motherboard and it runs 1024x768 through the card. It works perfectly without the v4900 card in, but I cannot keep pulling my Graphics card out whenever I switch between Windows and OS X...
Has anyone dealt with this trouble? Is there a script i can run to force OS X to run through HD 4000 and ignore my v4900? Does anyone know if you can get Firepro V4900 running on OS X? This would be preferable, but I have not had luck finding a patch to get v4900 working.
Also another small thing I have a Marvell® 88SE9128 raid controller with two drives in RAID 0. My OS X installation will not recognize this device. I tried using 3rd Party SATA within Multibeast, but I had no luck. Does anyone know how to get this controller to work? If I can use this controller I can vastly increase my storage.
Also I have a small issue with .mov files not playing in quicktime. This could be my microsoft webcam not being compatible or some other issue. If you have any insight whether is common please let me know.
If anyone has issues with similar hardware I would be glad to help. This forum has greatly helped me to get where I am now. I just need a little more to make my post installation perfect.
System Hardware Configuration
Motherboard: GA-Z77x-d3h
CPU: i5-3570k ; HD4000 works without graphics card in
Memory: 8gb Gskill 1600
SSD: Vertex4 ; TRIM enabled
Sound: VIA VT2021; Sound working
Ethernet: Atheros; Enabled using AtherosL1CEthernet.kext
USB3.0: Working in some ports. Some ports may be non-intel 3rd party. might be the issue, but as long as some work I am happy.
