Hey guys!

I'm gonna build an awesome Hackintosh.
Here's the deal. The current P55 socket 1156 is soon going to be replaced by Sandy Bridge 1155. And that's going to happen when I should buy my parts.

So my question is; Do you think I'm gonna be able to install OS X on Sandy at once or is it a safer buy with the P55 1156?

nobody knows! So why don't you be a pioneer in this, and buy the Sandy Bridge.

i believe sandy bridge will require a new chipset (the 1156 uses P55/H55) therefore it's unlikely to work. Either wait until Apple starts using SandyBridge or go with the 1156 which you know works.

Okey, well, I'm in quite a big need for a CustoMac. So I think I'm gonna go for the P55/H55..
