After long waiting for new iMacs i decided to go Hackintosh.
Please help me with the hardware because it's the first time i build one!

Here is what i'm thinking.

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H WIFI or Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H ???
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 2GB GDDR5
RAM: 4x Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series Modular TX750M 750W
HDD1: Samsung 830 Series 256GB 2.5" Sata III
HDD2: Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB, Sata III
OD: Sony Optiarc DVD-RW AD-7280S Sata

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I would go for a Blu-Ray drive. I have one myself (LG) and it works fine :)

I want to keep the budget as low as possible and if the optical drive is not necessary
for the whole setup procedure maybe i 'll drop it off.
Otherwise, yes, i would prefer a Blu-Ray drive myself. :D

The GTX 670 does not have support yet.

If you're looking for graphics work, the 5xx series is actually much better than the 6xx series, as Nvidia purposefully gimped the 6xx series to be much worse at graphics performance but much better at gaming so their Quattro professional cards became marketable again.

If you're looking to cut down on the budget, go with the Z77-DS3H motherboard. The Z77 UD3H is NOT compatible due to its Via audio. The UD5H is fully compatible, but it is quite expensive.

Ok, so the Z77 UD3H is out of the game.
I hope that the GTX670 will have support soon because of the MacBookPro release.
Also there is hope from here:

Do you think that the GTX580 would be better than GTX 670 for Adobe CS6?
And if so even on windows?

Absolutely. The CUDA processing on the 5xx is MUCH faster than the 680.

Check out the last graph on this page..

@gordo74

for a RAM configuration like this - is it necessary to buy a 4x8GB Kit or should 2 2x8GB Kit (same model) do. i know, they are matched, but does it really make a difference ?

do you know if is there any significant advantage of say between cl9 and cl11 (if not overclocking)?
