Hi all,

I'm saving some cash to buy a new PC within the coming months . I'm in doubt of which motherboard to choose for my hackintosh.

Some requirements from my side:
- I want to use it for gaming on Windows 10 + Catalina on 2 separate SSD's
- I also want to be able to have 1 USB-C in the back and 1 in the front
- HDMI and Displayport
- I already have SSD's and regular HDD's + ATI RX580

- What should I choose, the Gigabyte or the Asus MoBo?
- And would you change anything to the below config?

The Z390 Designare has USB-C (Thunderbolt 3 actually) ports at the back and a USB-C header on the board which allows you to connect a USB-C front port. So that is what I recommend.

With a RX 580 the system should be compatible with MacOS Catalina (and Mojave).

Thanks a lot. I didn't even noticed that. Seems like you've a similar build (your current one)!

Yes, I have a similar build with a 9700KF instead of the 9700K. It currently runs MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 / High Sierra 10.13.6 / Mojave 10.14.6.
