question on gigabyte Z87-D3HP
i successfully installed mavericks onto this computer but i am finding that i am getting occasional but frequent freezes...literally everything just locks up...mouse doesnt move, keyboard doesnt work etc
i also have win 7 on a separate hard drive on the same computer...i havent noticed a similar problem when i boot in to windows
i am using the internal graphics, i5 processor, 16gb ram, no over clocking
also, can you recommend the best way to get the audio working? there appears to be an audio driver installed but when i look in the sys preferences, it is for airplay

(by the way, apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum to place this question, please let me know if it would be better elsewhere)

think i fixed the 'freezing' issue...i think it was because i had the keyboard/mouse plugged into a usb 3 port

i have plugged it in to the usb 2 port now and no further freezes so far

can i use gigabyte h87 mATX motherboards?

can i use gigabyte h87 mATX motherboards?

Yes- although they have a few shortcomings vs. the Z87 mATX boards. If you're ok with limitations on overclocking, RAM speed, PCIe lane speed, they can be great alternatives and less costly.
