Hello! I recently decided to turn my slow Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 into a Hackintosh. Best decision I've made in a while. It's almost perfect, except that the built-in wi-fi card (QCWB335) is not supported. I shelled out some money and invested in an AzureWave AW-CE123H in hopes of getting back this oh-so-precious functionality as a USB hotspot drains the battery. I realize that the card also has Bluetooth but it's not really at the top of my list and cramming in an adapter wouldn't be practical in this laptop.
Description of WiFi problem
After installing the AzureWave AW-CE123H into my Dell Inspiron 15R 5537, the wifi indicator appeared but clicking "Turn Wi-Fi On" does nothing. I've installed AirportBrcmFixup.kext and Lilu.kext and they both show up in kextstat.
OS X version/motherboard model/BIOS version/processor/graphics
I'm currently running Mojave (10.14.5) using an Intel Core i7-4500U and Intel HD Graphics 4400. My motherboard model is the Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 Motherboard LA-9982P CN-0P28J8 P28J8.
Procedure/Guide used
I used this guide, following I. Broadcom WiFi/BT Installation and WiFi Injection (10.14/10.13/10.12 /10.11). I (hopefully) followed all instructions as closely as possible. All other data can be found in the attachment below.
EDIT: This problem was solved by taping pin 20. Turns out there was a whitelist I didn't know about.
