Hey, hi, hello!

This is my first post! Thank you guys for all the time you put in this forum and the guides.
It’s awesome :D

So, my MBP mid-2010 is annoying the hell out of me, because of the GPU-panic.
And of course I’m out of the 3 years program (Thanks, Apple!), so i need a computer which does not crash 0-8 times per day. I hope that hackintoshs are more stable ;)

My plan is to build a reasonably priced yet powerful allrounder — which should be as easy as possible to install and update.

1 x Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5 TH
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K, 4x 3.50GHz, tray
1 x Zotac GeForce GTX 770, 4GB GDDR5, 2x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort
4 x Crucial Ballistix Elite DIMM 4GB 1.50V, DDR3-1866, CL9-9-9-27
2 x Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB System (Mac / Windows)
1 x 1 TB Seagate
1 x TP-Link TL-WN851ND, PCI
1 x Corsair RM Series RM650 650W ATX 2.31

So here are my Questions:

  • Since this list is from the buyers guide…It should work very well, right?
  • Thunderbolt itself is not important for me, but i have an firewire audio-interface which should be connected through a thunderbolt-to-firewire adapter. Any experiences using such adapter?
  • Other suggestions or tips?

Thanks a lot!

Bump!

Also, since I’m about to buy the parts:
Do you think it makes sense to wait until the may-guide comes out? Are there big changes to expect?

thx!
