Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

@toleda @jaymonkey
I guess this problem is being resolved, more companies are now creating a m.2 key m to m.2 wifi adapter with usb headers

@ALL

With regards to alternative solutions for CNVi WiFi/BT equipped systems...

If your shot on spare full sized PCIe slots then this is probably a good solution ... but if you have a spare PCIe slot then an add-in card using BCM943602CS chip-set is a far better solution, half the price and nativity supported by MacOS.

See my updated post on CNVi for a bit more info...

Cheers

Hello guys,

I got this USB Bluetooth dongle : https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B007MKMJGO/?tag=tonymacx8607-21
After I have installed BrcmPatchRAM2.kext + BrcmFirmwareData.kext in the EFI kext folder, I am able to see my phone (Samsung s7 edge) bluetooth, but my Airpods are still not detected. What's wrong ? :(

Hi, I have bcm94352z and i was able to get it fully working but after some time and upates it starts giving problem.

I am trying to find a M2 wifi card to have wifi and bt fully working.

I read those on the first post

  • M.2: BCM943602BAED/DW1830 - native WiFi/ac and BT4LE
    • Laptop issues/solutions, see jaymonkey/Post #138
  • M.2: BCM94350ZAE/DW1820A - native WiFi/ac and BT4LE

But searching on the web I read that even these native carda need kexts or patches or dsdt patches.
Is these true? Is there some m2 card which works without any patch or kexts?

Thank you.

Andy, you could use a original macbook air card BCM94360CS2 with a M.2 key E to mac Wlan! no kexts or patch needed and everything working out of the box.

In every 15 min my bluetooth connection lost. I am Using Combo Network Card BCM94360. I checked all USB port and there is no problem on that. Make SSDT-UIAC.aml it doesn't change anything. While using the Bluetooth suddenly losing the connection. After restart its coming back. Sometimes never coming back and I am making BIOS reset then coming back again. On High Sierra there is no any problem.
