Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

LocalSend is an alternative to Apple’s AirDrop, it works in the same way to share files etc.

You can download and install the app on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Hack, Windows or Linux Laptop/Desktop PC and Android devices and share files, folders etc. between all of these devices.

If Airdrop does not function with the current Kexts and, that is a mandatory condition, as well as using Sonoma, then you will have to modify the vanilla kernel and use Broadcom or stay with Ventura. Or use LocalSend as @Edhawk pointed out previously. The point is that Intel is a better wifi card with a more highly developed technology and feature set than the antiquated Broadcom card that Apple continues to support, even if soldered, to their newest machines.
Apple will have to get Broadcom to move forward, or they will have to switch suppliers or develop an in-house wifi solution that supports the newest features. Wifi or Bluetooth will never be as fast or dependable as hardwire, but convenience is its only drawback. I.E. wireless connection to phones, tablets, and printers is not supported.
