Similar issue: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/bcm94360cs-bluetooth-causes-instant-wake-on-sleep.245837/
Hello everyone -
I'm using a Broadcom BCM94360CS2 card, recently purchased from eBay, along with the following PCI-E adapter:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BCM94360CS...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
This is replacing an older natively-compatible PCIe card that did not include Bluetooth capability.
My machine slept perfectly until installing this card. When I have the USB cable (for Bluetooth) attached to the motherboard USB 2.0 header, the machine will try to sleep, but wakes again immediately. When I unplug the USB cable, normal sleep resumes.
At this time Bluetooth is working (tested with earbuds), as is Airdrop. Handoff / Continuity is not, but I've not yet gone through all steps to remedy that situation.
What I've tried so far:
Writing a custom SSDT for my machine's USB configuration and identifying the Bluetooth USB connection as 255 (internal).
When that didn't work:
Installing BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext and BrcmPatchRAM2.kext into S/L/E per (hopefully) RehabMan's guide.
Based on my IOReg report, it looks like I'm well within the 15 port limit and that USB ports are assigned correctly. All USB seems to be functioning correctly at this time. No other peripherals are causing my machine to wake.
Running 10.13.6 and the latest Nvidia drivers (387.10.10.10.40.105).
