Hello.
I wanna know how patch AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext for doit my self now and in future.
I don´t used your patched kext cause I have a newer kext, 10.1.2b3, on OS X 10.10.1 (14B25).
I try to follow this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/292117-broadcom-bcm57781-how-do-i-patch-the-kext-for-ml-1085/
but instructions patterns is different/old vs actual BCM5701 kext.
Do you use Hopper Disassembler?

Instead of patching the kext, you might be able to use a DSDT patch (to inject "compatible"). That will cause the driver to load. And then use FakePCIID.kext to fake the IDs to the driver. That will cause it to read the alternate PCI ids instead of real ones.

FakePCIID.kext is new and a work in process (joint effort between myself and the-darkvoid).

is there an update to the bcm57781 kext for 10.10.2? i tried using the OP kext but ethernet didn't show. Is an EFI injection necessary?
