Hi guys. Long time reader, first time hackintosher (is that even a word?!)

Thanks for all the support that you give in the forums. It's really awesome learning from the experiences of others rather than feeling the pain of wasted hours yourself. I only had to reinstall 4 times - that's only because i read the forums AFTER...

I have an SSD as a boot drive that takes an abnormal amount of time to boot. (it is also cloned with super duper - allowing me to fiddle without worry)

At first I wanted to post: "My system displays the apple logo and takes a long time to boot"! But then, i figured that joke has been long overkilled - so i'll skip it :p

I copied the system log and pulled out all the errors that i found from my most recent reboot.

I would very much appreciate a more experienced eye perusing this log and letting me know what kexts to nuke, and specifically what is slowing down the boot process. I would do it myself, except, I can't really tell where the pauses are. I even rebooted multiple times in verbose to see where it is pausing and it really isn't except when it gets to the end of the verbose list just before the grey screen comes up. It sits there for at least 10-15 seconds.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. (If I am in posting in the wrong area, please move this)

(please refer to my profile for my sys specs)

Thanks guys :)

My boot time was also lagging and then the system would crash everytime it would boot into the OS. None of the standard flags worked (-x, -v, -f). UseKernelCache=0. The only thing that worked was PCIRootUID=1 (which is strange since all my other hacks use PCIRootUID=0)...this worked once, so I went in and dropped PCIRootUID=0 from my .plist; but now after login, the system either crashes (when USB3.0 hub is plugged in) or freezes (any and all flags).

Any luck?

I had the same issue. I desabled any onboard graphics related options in BIOS and that fixed for me, boot time 12 sec

woow...
thanks drevan!
your solution save like 36' to my boot time.
i use Z77-DS3H with sandisk SSD as recommended in customac.
before setting "internal Graphics" in BIOS to "disabled", i got 38-41 boot time.
after applying your solution, it took only 10-12 sec.

thanks so much for sharing!

I have the same board and when I first installed OSX I had the same problem. Turned out I was using VGA and when I switched to the dvi port the boot time went to ~15 sec.
