Bluetooth Range Issues!!!! Please help!

Alright, so after finally getting my new hackintosh all setup and ready to go I decided I wanted to get an Apple Bluetooth Trackpad to use with my HTPC Hackintosh. I can get it to connect no problem, but for some reason I can't use it more than 2 feet away!

I'm using an Iogear Bluetooth 4.0 USB Micro Adapter (GBU521)
and an Apple Magic Trackpad Model A1339.

I have bluetooth built into my mono and it looks like it's connecting to that and not the dongle maybe? Is there a way to just make it use the dongle?

This is something I'd also like an answer to. My adapter is recognized by OSX but my mobo bluetooth is what is being used, and as a result my mouse is choppy and has almost no range.

How do I turn off my internal bluetooth so the dongle works? Is "taping" my mobo necessary?
