Bluetooth randomly not available after sleep, I can see it on System Information -> USB list, it's just not working anymore, I can fix it by rebooting, but I want to know why, is there a place to check bluetooth log or something?

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

I had a very similar issue when i fitted a DW1830 (BCM43602 + BCM20450) to my HP Spectre X360 ... turns out it was to do with the enable/disable pins (54 + 56) on the WiFi/BT combo card.

Some laptops use these pins to to enable and disable the WiFI and BT status in hardware (usually toggled by dedicated buttons or FN keys) but All operating systems (Windows, Linux & MacOS) do it via software commands. On some laptops the logic of these pins can be left floating resulting in either WiFi and/or BT not being enabled correctly.

The fix is easy, simply remove the combo card and place a small piece of carefully cut tape (sellotape will do) over pins 54 & 56.

This resolved the issue for me ... . I wrote about it in this post :-

Might be worth a shot if nothing else works ....

Cheers
Jay
