Hi guys, this is what i research about this particular problem.

THE PROBLEM: on hackintoshes AND REAL MACs, if you use a bluetooth dongle (USB like Gymle, iogear and many others) even it worlks fine and pair any bluetooth headset, you can not select AUDIO INPUT bluettooh mic.

real macs has some kind of bridge connecting bluetooth, airport (probably because airplay) and USB routes. It is not clear to me if appleHDA (or any realtek audio) is involved in that bridge because bluetooth audio (output) works even with internal audio disable on bios.

So, when you connect a bluetooth dongle, even on real macs, you can pair devices, listen output audio but CANNOT USE INPUT AUDIO. If you select it on preference pane, you got a color spinning wheel and some console errors.

mine is something like this:

5/18/14 10:30:47.000 AM kernel[0]: 3776.338069: apple80211Request[10514] Unsupported ioctl 175

(the "free" part happen when i turn off the bluetooth headset, freeing the resources)

there is a lot of questions about this issue everywhere, most of them without replies. O saw here at tonymac forum, and others hackintoshes foruns, and at support.apple/discussions because it also happens when you use a bluetooth dongle on real mac like mac pro or macbook pro with defective onboard bluetooth module.

I also notice than on real macs, there is NO DELAY (time to bluetooth reconnect paired devices) on wakeup using INTERNAL BUILD IN bluetooh, but there is when you using a USB dongle (even on real mac)

I found this at NVRAM when using bluetooth dongles:
EFIBluetoothDelay %b8%0b

there is NO SUCH variables on real macs with internal bluetooth module, with for my surprise populate an USB BUS like the dongle.

I think something is missing to connect the bluetooth dongle to emulate a built in module, maybe it could be fixed with DSDT patch.

Comments?
