Black Screen With ASUS Sabertooth X79 & Intel i7-4930K

I'm having exactly the same problem with a similar set up, Sabretooth Z97Mk1 and intel i7-4790K. I've tried your suggested fix but no joy. I don't understand the code, so are there variations to account for model numbers. Help please....it's driving me nuts....

I'll give it a shot but not sure if this will actually work since my graphics card should work out of the box, but it's definitely worth a try.

I think I'm just gonna give Clover a go since my Motherboard mainly supports EFI.

Try switching Secure boot to Disabled and UEFI mode to Other OS (Not Windows)

Code:
 -v cpus=1 npci=0x2000 IGPEnabler=No

If you still have problems with getting a black screen with your Graphics card then add
Code:
 PCIRootUID=0
next change this value to 1 then 2, 3,4,5,6 & finally 7. A PCIRootUID value of 0 or 1 should work but when they do not you need to look to find what will work in your installation.

All these flags are case sensitive so do make sure that you don't miss type any of them.

Thanks, I just tried getting it to work for an hour and am having the exact same issue.
I already disabled Secure Boot, etc.

I'll try your tips tomorrow. Thanks!

Didn't work me, and I also tried "-v npci=0x3000 cpus=1 -f"
Here is a screenshot of what shows up right before it shuts off:

Sorry I am not really able to actually manage to read much of the text on your screen photograph. I have been digging around a little bit and have hopefully found some helpful information to get your build running.

The first link is just a general search using the term "Asus Sabertooth X79"
http://www.tonymacx86.com/search.php?googleSearch=Asus sabertooth x79

The next link is an installation guide where the same model of motherboard, CPU and GPU are being used:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-4930k-msi-gtx-780-dual-boot-hacktintosh.html

This may help with some stuff:

You may need to use some different boot flags than have been used in this or any other guide to get around some issues - its definitely a case of YMMV.
