Black screen on battery bootup

My SL install on my 4430s is working great when I boot up with the power cord plugged in.
When I boot from the battery (no power cord attached) I get the white apple screen and then my screen goes black.

These are the selection I made with the probook installer 6.1.6.
OSx support kext >> 4x30 support kext
DSDT gen >>
model >> 4x30s
fan behavior >> original patch
display type >> low res screen
optional patch >> Atheros 9285
SSDT gen >> i3/i5 sandy bridge
chameleon r2255 checked
optional hardware>>
ACHI 3rd party kext
EDID gen
MAC ox fixes>>
Color PRofiles
Sleep fix >> sleep image fix
blink screen >>>checked

THis is my first mac so please explain any tips and tricks to fix this will be appreciated.
