black screen of death

I have a zotac ion p-e board, and managed to get snow Leopard 10.6.8 running fine. then tried to upgrade to mountain Lion through unibeast. Install went firn. However, on 1st boot to install get blackk screen have tried most codes but no joy. Help would be nice

ps i can see the hard drive light still going so i guess it is working but just not sending to VGA?

[Solved] decide to wipe snow leopard and so fresh install rather than just upgrade. can now boot into install but have to use PCIRootUID=0 otherwise black screen.

the vga is not supported - only hdmi - DVI will work

also if you have an ATOM cpu that to will not work
