Hi,
I have managed to install Catalina and recover works fine. I even managed to recover from Time Machine. But I'm stuck at the final fence - the machine goes to boot up but I get a black screen. I've tried Display Port and HDMI.
So I followed the Guide on this site and have added the agdpmod=pikera boot argument.
I am only mildly technical so go gentle on me. I've managed to get the install working after two weeks (Got a working install of Catalina and realised I should be using the USB 2 slot)
I'm on Clover 5119 as later versions got stuck!
I set the machine as iMacpro 1,1 based upon advise.
I've tried removing Whatevergreen as some suggest and it makes no difference so added it back.
So I've installed Catalina up to the final setup - but I can't get back the final black screen. Help!
My EFI folder is below - i'm sure I'm doing several things wrong!
Machine specs:
Mother Board: Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3
Realtek Audio - Killer E240 Ethernet
CPU: i7-7000 @ 3.6Ghz
GPU: 5700XT (Gigabyte Gaming OC)
Ram: 32GB
Bootdrive: Samsung SSD 850 Evo
Windows on: SanDisk Ultra II 480GB
