Check in Windows to see LVDS vs. eDP.
It is available within the Intel IGPU graphics applet (launch from the tray after installing the Intel drivers).
There is an option within to generate a text file.

Look back at post #106 where I had sent it to you.

But yet, it is an LVDS cable to the screen and such. Does that make sense to you ?

This is the hookup point.

It uses an LVDS cable to connect to it. And then to this board and then to the mainboard.

No idea. I'm a software guy. It could be that an LVDS cable can be used in an eDP configuration somehow...

I do know that my Haswell laptop shows LVDS in the Intel graphics app.
And I know that people with laptops that show eDP instead of LVDS in the Intel graphics app have a lot of trouble.

O.k., I appreciate your time and help.

Your profile still does not specify screen resolution.
Also, desktop queries are really off-topic in the laptop forum.

Your display is likely eDP (check in Windows). eDP is usually troublesome on macOS/OS X.

FYI: your brightness control implementation is wrong. You're using ig-platform-id 0x0d220003. 0x0d220003 uses PWMMax of 0x1499. But you did not specify LMAX=0x1499 (requires use of SSDT-Config.aml).
