Hi guys,

There are a thousand of these posts, however I am on the verge of exploding after trying different configs and messing around.

Here is my hardware:
CPU - Intel i5-8400
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z390M Gaming (BIOS F9m)
RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666MHz 16GB
Drive - WD Black SN750 250GB NVMe

I followed this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...te-z390m-gaming-intel-uhd-630-i7-8700.277121/ and applied the frame buffer patch using this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...hdmi-black-screen-problem.269149/#Compilation
but I have a HDMI cable plugged straight into a monitor that turns black after trying to boot from the main drive. I have attached the EFI along with the screenshot of kexts I dropped into (Main Drive) > Library > Extensions

Any help is appreciated! The support from this community is amazing.

Thanks!

Please read and comply with the rules, in particular the one regarding profiles.
Link to profile - Just three items - Motherboard (or prebuilt system), Processor (CPU) and Graphics.

kexts I dropped into (Main Drive) > Library > Extensions
Dropping your kexts is not sufficient, they must be correctly installed.

Apologies! Just changed it now.

In regards to the kexts, would it better if I installed it in the EFI / CLOVER / kexts / other folder or the Library / Extensions folder?

Thank you,

Hi there.

Three points:

1) you have a different iGPU in Devices/FakeID to the one in Graphics/ig-platform-id (3E9B & 3E92). Re-check the guide etc.

2) Do not use OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi if you can avoid it. The original author has withdrawn it as apparently it can damage hardware.

3) when you upload an EFI please remove your serial numbers etc to prevent others from using them.

:)

If you are using Clover, most of those kexts are sufficient to be installed in EFI/CLOVER/Kexts.

If you wish, I have a guide already done for Z300 series Coffee Lake with Nvidia on High Sierra and working very reliably. You can find it here > https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...sung-1tb-960-evo-nvme-nvidia-gtx-1050.249402/
