Black screen after booting from USB

Hello. First time hackintosh attempt here on a lenovo N581 w/ i3.

I created the boot disk via unibeast, got to my boot options screen, selected my 16gb usb stick and i get a black screen with a white apple logo and a progress bar that seems to hang at about 80% complete. 20 min after that the screen goes black. the laptop appears to still be working but no life on the screen. Ideas? Thanks
