Hello,

Problem:
Black screen on boot, after Apple progress bar.

Process:
I've successfully installed Catalina using Unibeast. I have ran Multibeast with the following options:
RealtekTRL8111 v.2.0.0
  • Clover UEFI Boot Mode + Emulated NVRAM
  • Mac mini 8,1
  • Z390 Series NVRAM Support
  • Core Graphics Fixup AKA WhateverGreen
  • Intel HD 630 (CoffeeLake)
Specs:
Gigabyte Z390 UD
Intel I9-9900K
4K display connected to HDMI (only graphic port on board)
No dGPU

I've searched a lot with these terms, but had no luck. Maybe some one out there can help me...?

You probably need to change the Intel Framebuffer for your UHD 630 IGPU.

The Multibeast Intel HD630 option probably uses/Sets ig-platform-id to 0x3E9B0007, this can with some systems result in the black screen you are seeing.

Changing or rather manually setting the Devices > Properties for the Intel IGPU, along with using WhateverGreen.kext can fix this.
  1. You would need to mount the EFI Partition on your macOS drive, so you can access your /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist. Use Hackintool to mount the EFI partition (Disks tab).
  2. Open the config.plist with Clover Configurator and navigate to the Graphics Tab.
    1. Remove/delete the ig-platform-id entry. Highlighted in Red box in screenshot below:

  3. Navigate to the Devices tab, select the Properties button, and enter the details shown in the screenshot below:

    2. Close up of Properties details for IGPU: Screenshot 2020-12-19 at 18.48.56.png
  4. Make sure you do not have any other Graphics related settings, fixes or boot arguments applied in your config.plist.
  5. Save the config.plist and reboot the system.
See if that helps.

Thank you so much for your reply.
I removed ig-platform-id, unticked "Inject Intel" from Graphics, and copied everything you had in the Devices.
Also, I chose in SMBIOS iMac 19,1 because it has the same CPU as mine.

But, still black :(

Try replacing the 07009B33E Framebuffer with 00009B3E, the first while the recommended framebuffer is known to sometimes produce the black screen issue.

If you see posts saying to use 03009B3E, don't use it. As this is the Framebuffer for a 'Headless' Coffee Lake IGPU, i.e. one without a display connected.

You might have more luck using the Mac mini 8.1 SMBIOS, as that uses a Coffee Lake CPU/IGPU. But without a discrete GPU, which matches your system setup.

You don't have WhateverGreen.kext in your /CLOVER/kexts/Other folder, why not? That is one of the main kexts for any Hackintosh system.

You should have XHCI-unsupported.kext installed for your USB ports.
Where is USBInjectAll.kext?
Do you have a USBPorts.kext for your systems USB ports, is that why you don't have the two kexts listed above? If you do where is it?

Do you have any third-party kexts installed to the /Library/Extensions folder?

You have VboxHfs.efi in your /CLOVER/drivers/UEFI folder, HFSPlus.efi is a better driver and should be used in place of VBoxHfs.efi.

You are not showing any SSDT's in your /CLOVER/ACPI/patched folder. Do you have any SSDT's in this folder? I would expect to see SSDT-EC.aml, SSDT-HPET.aml and SSDT-PLUG.aml as a minimum. These should be generated from your system's DSDT with Corpnewt's SSDTTime terminal command (Python Script). Coffee Lake systems also require a few more SSDT's to work correctly.

Post a copy of the actual CLOVER folder, so I can see what you are using.

Sorry, got two posts deleted, and only then I understood I was breaking forum rules. I didn't notice the "Attach files" button in the bottom!

Should I start getting the files you mentioned in the CLOVER folder, or should I wait for more explicit guidance?

Thanx for not giving up on me!

Here is a revised EFI folder for you to try with your system. I have refreshed the SMBIOS, as you were using one from a real Mac, which would have caused issues trying to contact with the Apple servers for iMessage, iCloud etc.

The folder should work with Catalina and Clover_r5119.

Let me know if you run into any issues booting with this folder.

Wow! a Custom EFI... thank you :D

I mounted the EFI partition with CloverConfigurator, deleted the existing EFI folder and copied yours into it. I am booting with Clover 5119 and boot got stuck at this attached screen:

AFAIK I have the BIOS configured correctly, that is, per the Catalina guide. Should we check any settings there?

Any chance you can get a video or picture of the screen before the stop point. As the reason for the kernel panic is not visible on the image you posted.

I made a video, but could not find a way to upload it here, it seems to be forbidden. So I grabbed screenshots from the video. Some of them are a bit blurry, I hope you can detect anything.
