Black Screen After Apple Logo Loading Screen

Did you ever get this working? I'm having the same problem. I get 3/4th the way thru boot and the screen goes black. I can book with my usb stick tho.

Any new developments? I just recently had this happen after working very well for weeks. Now after the Apple Logo, my HDMI monitor goes to sleep. I can still RemoteDeskop in and see my video card, but it does not sync with my monitor. Catalina 10.5.2

try DP adaptor.... make sure you have latest kexts

Thanks, @donw35. Didn't seem to help. AFAIK kexts are up-to-date. Is there any information in a boot log which might be helpful?

the following kexts are in E/C/k/O
Lilu.kext version 1.4.0
WhateverGreen.kext version 1.3.5

Boot args
agdpmod=pikera. (note, you can go to option in Clover and add it there if you forget, then add it permanently.)

Graphics section in config.plist should have nothing. all blank.

SMBIOS is iMac 17,1 or newer

most issues I have seen are form syntax errors or multiple versions of kexts in different locations
