I'm late to the show but I'm pretty sure he means his computer is freezing at that error message so he can't do anything. I have the same error after updating High Sierra now I can't even get past "No ER State object for volume High Sierra" for all my drives. Can't hit any keys to continue.

I just updated to v2.5 rev 5102 and I still have the error message below when I boot the machine. It takes about 2 minutes to actually get to my desktop. Not sure what do do here?
