I successfully installed Big Sur on my Lenovo Z580 (Ivy Bridge - Intel Core i5-3210M) using Clover 5126.
This laptop has consistently worked well since 10.6.

The only thing that is not working as before is that it only boots from Preboot.
If I try to boot from the normal Big Sur partition it restarts after a couple of seconds.

I am thinking about a new clean re-install now that I sorted out my EFI.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Is that normal for Big Sur?

Thank you.

I think it's a normal behavior in big sur.
If it works why do a clean install? Boot from preboot and enjoy big sur.

That is what I decided to do.
It is working great booting from Preboot so no need to reinstall.
Thanks
