As m a Indie Apple Developer, i like to Thanks RehabMan for having Patience, giving Details, for guiding perfectly what to do n what not to do.

As i was developing Application from past 2 years, i was kind of away from Hackintosh projects as I've had build desktop hacks(Core2Duo models 2 yrs back (Thanks Kyndder :) )).

I was fully new to laptop with UEFI n latest hardware, but as i posted my 1st post I've been in continues guidance by RehabMan. As also others have been given me advice(bit rude)in other Forums n also not clearly.

Thanks a lot RehabMan:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Agreed. He is a very helpful person and I'd say has more patience than most people do as well.

Without a doubt Rehabman has helped many on this forum build their Hackbooks. I know I couldn't have built my two laptops without your help. For that I thank you.

One thing that you may consider is a "Start Here" type thread with the following instructions:

Before doing anything
1) read the laptop compatibility sticky thread
2) google your laptop to see if it's been done and have a guide
3) take inventory of all components in your laptop
4) read ALL the stickies in Yosemite Laptop Support forum
5) read nguyenmac AIO guide for Hackintosh - Tutorials
6) read all the stickies from #4 AGAIN
7) google individual components and learn how it can or cannot work (bookmark pages so you won't forget where they are)
8) have an action plan - steps needed to be done
9) now go create your USB

Sorry if it sounded like a rant. I don't know how you do it. You have the patience of a saint. But I think the above steps would help and instead of fielding the thousands of questions daily, your time can be better spent resolving harder/less obvious issues.

I don't think it sounds like a rant at all...

I plan to write an overall "Read this first" / "FAQ" / "Overview" kind of post. At the very least it gives a link that can be provided to someone asking the most basic of questions. Still, people will ask questions without reading, and even after they are linked to a guide, they will still fail to read carefully and fail to use common sense. It is just how it is.

But before I do that, I want to provide a few more guides for common issues. For example, a guide for HDMI-audio (focused on Intel graphics laptops and Clover only). And a guide for disabling discrete cards in switched dual-GPU setups (for a patch which is a one line addition [most of the time], it is somewhat tricky). Another guide that will be more important is a guide for the retina+ displays that are becoming very common.

And I still haven't done much with on-board audio. I'd like to truly understand AppleHDA patching (eg. platforms/layout xml creation) and do some work on VoodooHDA before I attempt to write any material for audio.

Often times, I'm using my experience helping others as a way to improve the guides already written (clarification/emphasis "Notes") or to improve my own understanding of the issues. For the most common questions, I have a file with responses and... more and more often... I'm able to simply link to one of the stickies the person failed to notice.

I think the "silver bullet" is to understand HDA and how the AppleHDA xml files work...

VoodooHDA could be an option too if some bugs were fixed...
