Best MB for i9-10980xe?

It now seems to work perfectly. My guess now is that it might have been an overheating problem after all. I reapplied the thermal compound to my liquid cooler, tweaked a minimal set of BIOS settings (first, just the MSR and then the XMP profile), and all seems well. I can now do terrible things to the processor. Had all 36 threads humming away in repeated tests. (It does warm the room up quite a bit!)

Hi do you still have working build on i9 10980 xe ?
Can you share your final build working hardware configuration?
Thank You.

I got my i9-10980XE build up and running the weekend before last. Built on an MSI x299-A-PRO, and 128Gb DDR4 3200 RAM - configured as an iMac Pro 1,1.
I rebuilt my system a few weeks back, but before doing so I did a DSDT dump and went through the ACPI patching details here, from top to bottom; https://dortania.github.io/Getting-Started-With-ACPI/. For the sake of learning, I created a full set of the necessary patches specific to my system, and in particular the NVRAM PMC patch (https://dortania.github.io/Getting-...ram-methods/manual.html#finding-the-acpi-path) which got me Native NVRAM, which I did not have first time around.

I ended up using the MacPro 7,1 SMBIOS as part of the rebuild, as it is in keeping with the processor I am using, and am happy to say that I have a fully operational system, complete with Sleep and Wake.

Final build comprises;
- i9-10980XE CPU
- MSI X299-PRO-A
- 128Gb DDR4 RAM
- MSI RX570 4Gb Video Card
- Fenvi BCM94360CS2 Bluetooth / WiFi card

I should add that this system was my first OpenCore build, and that thanks to the info on the OpenCore site, it was mostly a straight forward process
