For a long time I'm contemplating about building a small form factor Hackintosh. I'm leaning towards a Micro-ATX mother board rather than a Mini-ITX. Reason for that being Micro-ATX case has one/two more PCIE expansion slots which I can use to install Apple WiFi card or use it for future upgrades. There are tons of really good Mini-ITX cases (NCase M1, Ghost S1) but there are no similar case for Micro-ATX mother board. Closest I could find is Cerberus cases but the case alone costs $250USD, which I'm not able to justify.

At office I use a HP EliteDesk/ProDesk small form factor machine and even though the popular opinion about low grade components used in these machines, these are running non-stop for 3-4years. I like these machine for its compact size and ability for expansion. My target usage is only programming, so I can live with the internal graphics card, but anyone can add a low profile graphics cards in these machines if they want.

There is a golden build using Dell Optiplex but it's little old machine. I want to know if anyone who has worked on converting newer SFF machines from DELL or HP recently. Please kindly post your experience. This will help me and others who are looking for similar Hackintosh.
