Hi guys,

I'm about to purchase an Apple Magic Mouse for my Hackintosh. Can someone link me to a good USB Bluetooth adapter that will allow me to connect the magic mouse to my build with ease?

Thanks

I had problems with the iogear, stuttering and lagging.

This one has been rock solid for me:

On thing I can say is often the range on these things is no where near what they claim. I have mine plugged into the back of my monitor on a short USB extension cable. That puts it only about 12-18 inches from my mouse.

I am using and Apple wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse.

but i believe none of these (except the native Apple mini networking card) supports using keyboard/mouse during BIOS and/or clover boot screen, correct?

seems like none of the newer BT4 dongles does?

You wouldnt know unless you do your research on this forum but i can confirm that native broadcom chip does work with apple wireless products in the bios

Really funny that you mention that particular bluetooth dongle because I used that dongle before I moved onto the native solution. If you really want the dongle I could mail it to you if you live in the United States. I have no use for it anymore. My experience with it, it worked most of the time. I think it might depends on how well your motherboard activates your usb ports on startup. My sabertooth was kinda horrible at it sometimes so it was hit or miss. Let me know.

p.s you are correct it is BT v2.1 but I had the magic mouse and wireless keyboard working at the same time, anything else connected got laggy

Already did.

That's why i'm trying to confirm. F8T016 is the one i see people have success, but don't think it's BT4 and it's not easy to find one now. To me the requirement is more than just "native broadcom chip".

Can't seem to find the one you stated above anywhere online.
Would this alternative model work just as well?
