Comments

Thanks to the topics of our friends at the forum here, SynGatesFan200s and nab's. I was able to get it work.
We can't forget Toleda for his great work at the HDMI side!

1. I started up the box and updated to the latest BIOS: v42.
2. Set graphics ram from auto to 128mb.
3. Insert the Unibeast USB drive and boot into the installer and install OSX.
4. When install succeeded, reboot into the Unibeast drive and select the SSD drive where you installed OSX on.
4a. If you can't get to the configuration set-up, the problem I had, type 'PCIRootUID=0', with this command line I was able to get into the configuration of OSX.
5. Next, if you have the same BIOS version as me, you can use the DSDT I added inside this topic, (it already has the HDMI Edits) put it on you desktop.
6. Use the same Multibeast settings as in the picture I provided.
7. Now, to get HDMI audio working, use kextbeast to place the patched Carpi.kext into the correct place.
8. With Chameleon Wizard, you can add Quiet Boot so the NUC boots super fast into OSX.
9. Reboot and you are done.

Issues and Notes

1. I have DDR3-1600 MHZ RAM but the NUC only recognized it as DDR3-1333 MHZ RAM, didn't find a solution at the moment….
2. At this point, sleep works with the standard 'darkwake=0', but need more testing.
3. In your About Mac section... it will say 1.7 GHz speed for your CPU. When looking at HWMonitor, I see it reach till 18x 1.78GHz, I think this is because of the RAM.

great ! i used this guide and everythings working great !, the only weird thing is though, im trying to use my mbox2 interface with this since the monitor i used doesnt have hdmi input, but even after installing the mbox2 driver for osx, still nothing shows up under inputs or outputs in system preference, the interface lights up though but no sound through it.

Hey BerndVP, you are a life saver - had been struggling with getting all of this working for a day now and you sorted me out! I would like to make one note - the attached edited capri framebuffer kext does not work in Mavericks. I ended up grabbing someone else's (I think it was from a Thunderbolt board so I was scared of the DSDT) and that kext worked perfectly. Thanks again!

Thanks for the post! Any chance you have an updated DSDT for BIOS build 46?
