I'm looking to install 10.7.4 (AppStore download) on an ASUS Sabertooth Z77, i5-3570K, 16GB RAM, 180GB SSD, using on-board Intel 4000 graphics for the time being.

Can anyone link to the best step-by-step procedure to get this puppy rolling? I'm lost on these bulletin boards....

HD4000 is not supported yet, though it will be supported once Mountain Lion is released.

If you want to try to install Lion on your system, you need a modified kernel. Please check this: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=168&t=59052

Thanks for the heads-up on the HD4000 graphics! I think I'll go with a different build after browsing the BB more. How does this sound?

  • Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UDH5
  • Intel i5-3570K
  • 16GB 1600 DDR3
  • AMD Radeon HD 6870 2GB
  • 2 - Seagate MXT 750GB Hybrids
  • Bluetooth 4.0 adapter

Looks good if you don't mind using a modified kernel for Lion.
