Wow. I've never seen -1 to -5dBm on any of my Macs. I best I've ever seen is about -55dBm.

It might be just different baseline since 2007 Macbook is on 10.6
Also I've found that my router (2,4GHz and close to the PC) is interfering with bluetooth. Switching it off greatly improves connection too.

Yes, turning off wifi can help bluetooth reception.

"I found the BCM94360CS on Amazon Prime (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PDN4H9E/?tag=tonymacx86com-20) and was curious if it would provide the same OOB ease as the BCM94360CD. From what I've read, the only difference is that it has 3 antennas instead of 4. I guess the CS was used in the Mac Pro and the CD was used in the latest iMac."

I'm really confused about adding wifi to my hackintosh. I purchased a BCM94360CS as mentioned above. Do I need to add any kexts or will it work OOB?
Thanks

It should work OOB. Maybe you will need Continuity Activation Tool for some of Continuity features to work maybe it will wok without it. Keep us posted on you results and please try to look for BT connection RSSI. With alt+click on BT icon in menu or with iStumbler. Thank you!

No kexts needed. It's a part used in some Macs. You may, however, need an adaptor to connect it to your motherboard.

Thanks! It came on an adapter...

Hey Thanks for sharing this important information.

I have also bought the BCM94360CS but without the adapter.

I want to find the suitable adapter to plug it to my mini-itx motherboard (GA-H77N-WIFI)
Because my video card takes the oly PCI-Express slot available.

I found this one on ebay but don't know if I will be able to plug the antennas

This one looks better

Any suggestion would be great
Thanks Guys!!

boungeud:

Those are two different kinds of adaptors you have linked. One (Ebay link) is BCM94360CS to mini PCI-e and one (Amazon link) is BMC94360CS to M.2. Find out what kind of connector your motherboard uses and get the correct adaptor.

It's installed. I get -44 and -45 for my Apple mouse and keyboard.
However, I can't see that wifi is available. Is it perhaps that my card is not really Apple but appears to be made in China?
Thanks
