BCM94352Z (DW1560) 5GHz working natively without the patch?

Same here. Mine's not Dell branded though, it's one of the original engineering samples that I got from china back in 2014 (back when it cost an arm and a leg). But yeah, it's been connected to my 5ghz home network (n and then ac) without a kext patch since 10.10 up to 10.11.6.

It's still confusing though :/ why do some people need to use the patch and some don't? @@

Interesting. I disabled the my 5GHz patch on 10.12 and found I can still connect to a 5GHz network just fine.

Just for your interest, i also did not need the patch to get 5 GHz working on the BCM94352Z.
Dell inspiron 7559 and Partaker G3

It means it's not needed for all BCM4352 cards...
