I set up my hackintosh with OS X 10.10 using MultiBeast 7.0.2 and I am running into an issue where after long bouts of sleep my audio stops working. The audio controls are still there — but no sound whatsoever. The only solution is to reboot. I checked the forums and it seems like this was an issue with Mavericks installs and the recommended fix was to install audio drivers using MB v6.1.0. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is this still a recommended fix — even for OS X 10.10? BTW — I am running a Hackintosh built on a Del XPS 8500 using the Realtek ALC887/888b Current v100302 kext.

Any help would be appreciated.

I´m having the same problem in yosemite with alc887...

I have the same problem with a GA-B75M-D3P and a 3570 processor.
It works after start and the then after a while stops working.

If I look in activitymonitor it says "coreaudio (not responding)"

I have tried to reinstall audio drivers with Multibeast 7.1.1 with no luck.
