Hi guys!

I just build a new hackintosh! Excited! Almost everything works except for the audio... My specs:

Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H
3570k
8Gig Mem
OCZ agility 4 120GB SSD

I'm using an MultiBeast 5.0.2 so the packages are quite different from those who got their success build. There is no HDAEnabler! So which option I should get for this?

Thanks!!!

Your motherboard used the ALC887 audio chipset. So with Multibeast, install it.

Find and delete (Move to Trash) the following files. Don't worry if you don't have them all.

/System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext
/System/Library/Extensions/HDAEnabler*.kext (yes, all of them)
/System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext
/System/Library/Extensions/ALC8xxxHDA.kext

Do a repair kexts (you can do this by running System Utilities in MultiBeast) and then reboot.
Your system should boot fine, and you should see no audio devices whatsoever in System Profiler. This is good.

Now select the following in Multibeast:

System Utilities/Repair Permissions

Drivers & Bootloaders/Kexts & Enablers/Audio/Realtek ALC8xx/AppleHDA Rollback
Drivers & Bootloaders/Kexts & Enablers/Audio/Realtek ALC8xx/Patched AppleHDA/ALC889

Thanks for this post.
My first build as well.
I spent hours trying to find any form to explain this with the correct directions.. thank you!!
Now I am running 100% ...(So far) NOW more tuning... lets see if i don't break anything too much when experimenting! :)
I think this site has made me an ADDICT.
