audio performance degrades over time

Hey everyone,

I have a strange problem with my audio. In the beginning, when i start watching a video, everything is ok, but after a few minutes, the audio becomes muffled and static-y and is very noticeable. However, if I pause the video and wait for a few minutes, the sound is fine again.

Does anyone have any idea as to why that is?

I realise that it's not the same board as yours but the fix may work for you too.

Using Apple's Audio MIDI setup, I changed the output bitrate from 44100 Hz to 96000 Hz and that seemed to have solved the problem for now.
