I followed the "official" guide for AppleHDA HDMI audio, which directred me to use AppleALC.kext to replace HDMIAudio.kext and the ACPI patch for HDMI audio (SSDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-PEG0.aml), which worked for audio out through DP and HDMI on my GTX 1060. I determined the device-id is de10f110, which is already supported by AppleALCKext 1.2.7+, but as it was not working I patched it through Xcode and used the compiled kext instead of the one directly from Github releases. Neither work.
AppleALC.kext is in CLOVER/kexts/other, HDMIAudio.kext has been removed, and the SSDT patch mentioned earlier has been removed from the AHCI/PATCHED/ folder in clover.
NVIDIA Web Driver is enabled and working fine. I am on 10.13.6.
