Audio issue with Dell D830

Hi there,

with my Dell D830 Laptop, I have an issue with audio.

My installation is with Clover boot loader an El Capitan 10.11.6.
It works nearly perfect, the only issue is with audio.
As kext I use voodooHDA 2.8.7 and AppleHDADisabler.kext as recommended.
Audio crackles.
It worked perfect with Mavericks and chameleon boot loader.

I have Sigmatel audio STAC9205X.

Do you have any idea how to fix? Please help.

Okay with the VoodooHDA; in system preferences there is an icon for the VoodooHDA, select the option that brings up your main audio output and turn down the Input Gain.

I have attached a screenshot from my VoodooHDA Prefpane.
InputGain is greyed out, so I can not adjust anything.

Any idea? Is there something wrong with DSDT or Clover settings?
Please help.

It seems weird that you only have one output usually there would be multiple outputs for HDMI and so on (if you have HDMI), could be an internal issue but I cant really say.

You correctly configured your settings so you have no problem booting but I would consider going over the audio tutorials by Toleda and RehabMan, you might get complete audio without the annoying problems.

Another item to consider, have you tried doing a linux dump at all?
You can search up tutorials on how to do this on the forum, Rehabman and Toleda.

Apologies Old Thread I know but I just found my old D630 which had Lion installed and I just found out I could put El Capitan on it so I did...but as you described every works well except the sound that is activated by the VoodooHDA.kext it crackles and youtube playback gets out of sync and cuts out. Has anyone gotten sound to work properly? Long shot I know but just wanted to ask.
