This is the first time have posted here. Have installed a Hackintosh and everything is working except audio. I had audio working with Voodoo -- which just generates awful sound. Trying to get native sound to work using this guide but struggling to understand which guide to use. Would very much appreciate being pointed at the correct guide. Am using:
OS X 10.11.5, installed on Gigabyte LGA1151 Intel Z170 ATX DDR4 Motherboard GA-Z170X-UD5 running Intel iCore 7 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 graphics using the native NVIDIA drivers. The boot loader is Clover and configured using MultiBeast and Clover Configurator. The key Clover config.plist settings are currently set as (FixHDA on and I've tried AddDTGP on and off. For completeness FixShutdown is also On and am using DSDT.ami, the default). The motherboard BIOS has been updated to version 6f (the latest - there are multiple versions floating around and wanted to avoid issues here). Monitor wise, am running 1x DP and 1x HDMI both through the NVIDIA graphics card. I had installed and then removed the Voodoo drivers -- after trying and failing may times to install these drivers. Currently there is no sound, but a sound device shows up in "About this Mac/Audio" - it shows up as "Intel High Definition Audio/Audio ID: 1"
Would greatly appreciate being pointed at the right guide. I also suspect that the install and removal of Voodoo may have 'damaged' the Apple HDA driver (?) -- does this need to be replaced to make this process work?
Currently running auto_cloverHDMI_v0.22 for example gives the following result:
10_v0.22-2.command ; exit;
