it will take it a minute or two to start outputting an HDMI signal, and sometimes it never does.
TV? Receiver connected how? Likely a HDMI video problem.
No HDMI audio, reply with all files: Post #1, Problem Reporting.

I have an HDMI cable going from my computer (mobo HDMI out, no video card) to my RX-A2000 receiver, and another HDMI cable going from my receiver to my TV. I've never had this problem before with any of my gaming systems or my macbook pro, all of which hooked up essentially the same way. Also, this only happens sporadically when waking the computer from sleep; it usually works perfectly, so I suspect the problem has something to do with my computer.

I usually do have HDMI audio. It just stops working occasionally. Do you want me to wait until the problem happens again before taking screenshots or creating any of the attachments? Or should I just gather all the info while the HDMI audio is still working fine?

I have a good idea what working HDMI audio looks like. Reply only with files that reflect the problem you are trying to solve.

Just happened again today. Here's the stuff:

  1. See my previous posts in this thread (#941, #943)
  2. OSX 10.11.3 / GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 / F6 / i5-4670k / HD 4600
  3. Tried MultiBeast first, but it didn't work. Then I successfully got HDMI Audio working for the most part using audio_cloverHDMI-110.command

  5. View attachment 173796
  6. System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext does not exist on my machine
  7. N/A
  8. Clover
    1. View attachment config.plist
    2. Did not have debug logging enabled unfortunately
      1. View attachment BootLog.txt
    3. N/A
    4. N/A

No files attached, no ideas.

Sorry, I thought that since that option didn't work, we'd revert back. New problem submission below:

1. HDMI device (TV) is not listed as device for sound output in System Preferences.
2. 10.11.3 / GA-Z77-DS3H (rev 1.0) / F9 / i5-3570K / IGFX HD4000
3. Troubleshooted by restoring native AppleHDA, applying cloverALC-110 script (from this guide). Also corrected frame buffer via config.plist (set AAPL.ig_platform_id to 0166000A.)
4. IOReg attached.
5. Console log attached.
6. AppleHDA.kext attached.
7. using clover.
8. 1) config.plist attached. 2) clover log attached. 3) none. 4) none.

Note, that AAPL.ig_platform_id to 0166000A via config.plist, HDMI device was not listed as a device for sound output in System Preferences and my monitor (a TV via HDMI) was limited to a 1024 x 768 resolution. In addition, my VRAM was reduced to 3MB in About this Mac. Thanks for your help. I'll keep looking into these logs to see if I see anything awry, but I don't know what to look for. When you're troubleshooting, what kinds of things do you scan for?

Hello everyone,

I have installed El Capitan on the below machine:

Gigabyte GA-Z68X- UD3H-B3 Bios: U1H
Intel I7 2700K
Corsair 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Installation is on Clover UEFI.

After installing, everything works, except for audio and usb3. I run yesterday cloverHDMI-Beta script, it did report certain errors and audio was not installed.

I also tried some other previous methods, but to be honest I am not quite sure what I am doing. Not too good with DSDT, SSDT and kexts. Οr with Clover.

I attach:
a.config.plist
b. Ioreg
c. Boot log (boot.txt)
d. Console.log
e. Terminal output of CloverAudioPatch.
f. AppleHDA.kext (in zip file)
g. SSDT-HDMI-HD3000.aml (from ACPI/Patched)
h. SSDT-SB-OC.aml (from ACPI/Patched)

Any help regarding audio would be most appreciated.

Kind regards,

Ilias

What guide did you use?
ig_platform_id is set wrong, IOReg shows 70 88 02 00
HDMI audio is not possible until HD4000 graphics is enabled.
Graphics problem, not audio problem. Off topic.

My mistake.
Download: Select View Raw, ssdt_hdef-3-with_ioreg:hdef.zip
Install ssdt to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched and restart.

Hmm... So HD4000 graphics were enabled UNTIL I used Clover to set ig_platform_id to 0166000A as recommended in post #935. When I used Clover to set this, HD4000 graphics were in fact DISABLED.

So are you saying that Clover is incorrectly setting ig_platform_id? My config.plist lists the correct platform id. Note, no new files uploaded because no new edits.
