ATI Radeon 6870-black screen during game

I have a problem with my display in which the screen goes black and the system appears to hang after about 3-5 minutes of running a game (WoW at max settings). I've searched the forums and was unable to find anyone else with this problem or a solution thereto. The machine runs great with everything else. Does anyone have any suggestions?
