Atheros Ethernet - GA-Z77X-UD5H

Hi,

Just a post for anyone struggling with the Atheros (vs Intel) ethernet on the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H. I found the driver included in latest Yosemite Multibeast for the Atheros ethernet did not work after a clean install, so I reverted to using the driver from Mavericks (Shailua's ALXEthernet v1.0.2) which so far has worked flawlessly.

Where did you find the Atheros driver? Did you install it from a Mavericks version of Multibeast?

Atheros Ethernet - GA-Z77X-UD5H - SOLVED

After reviewing several other posts, I used MultiBeast to install both Intel and Atheros NIC kexts, and wallah! Network access is smooth and responsive.

As a side note, the "upgrade" was terrific with the exception of the aforementioned network hiccup. Now, Yosemite is very responsive and all functions seem to work correctly.
