I'm buying another laptop to run 10.8.4. It comes with an intel wireless card that I need to replace. So from reading the forums, both the atheros 9280 and broadcom BCM94322HM8L can be used easily out of box. I was just wondering if there are any performance/stability differences between the two chipsets.
I'm currently using a 9280 on one of my laptops now and its been ok.

My first feeling would be broadcom. But saying that I'm having trouble with a Broadcom product myself xD
Both have 2.4 & 5ghz and around 300Mbps transmission rate.
There both solid from what I can see, but they both need some sort of guide following and manual edting installation process.

If it were up to me I would choose one that already has native support: http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/58497-off-shelf-native-airport-pci-express-wifi-card.html

But that entirely up to you, reading the comments of the guides of these devices should give you enough doubt that they are both stable.
