I bought 2 Asus Z8PE D12X motherboards including heatsinks and fans plus 4 Xeon X5650. I used Sierra as I have Adobe CS5 software that does not run correctly with High Sierra or Mojave. Install went without a hitch using Unibeast and everything works. I have an Asus Pike card not yet installed as the board manual states that an I Button must be fitted for correct operation of the Pike raid card. I have searched but can find not info on this I button, I have also emailed Asus but no reply. If anyone can give me some insight on this I Button I would really appreciate it.

To answer my own question, the I button is in fact a licence key for activating Megaraid and allows use of more raid options.

I also have an asus Z8na-d6 card with 2 xeon x5675, I bought the 2008 pike card but I did not receive it with the ibutton, therefore not usable, did you find it? or which solution did you choose?

The ibutton allows raid 6 to be used. The pike card works fine on Raids 0, 1 and 5 without the ibutton.
