Are you using AMD RADEON™ PRO W6800? Is it natively supported in macOS?

GPU support in macOS is mostly due to the Mac Pro, which uses custom versions of Radeon Pro GPUs not consumer RX GPUs.
We get support for RX 6800/6900 because macOS has native support for W6800 and W6900 (Navi 21 die).
We get support for RX 6600 because macOS has native support for W6600 (Navi 23 die).
There is no Radeon Pro W6700, so macOS has NO support for RX 6700 (Navi 22 die).

Hello CaseySJ, I am an youtuber from China. I am planning to make a Chinese version of Hackintosh video tutorial recently, and I need to use the content and efi files in your thread. Can I cite the content of this thread?
Hello @dmdacc,

You are welcome to use/cite the content and EFI files in this thread.

I will include the web address of this thread and your name in the introduction of video.
Very good — that will be sufficient.

So I was wondering how soon I would be obsoleted by emerging AI systems such as ChatGPT. For the moment, it seems, I am still needed. :)

Oh, ChatGPT, are you maybe referring to someone like me? ;)

Such good advice in the blue box! And even a chatbot has the wisdom to backup data before attempting major operations such as installing/upgrading an OS.

Ah, that's a relief. ;) But you see that ChatGPT didn't just stop with "I don't have specific information on..."; it went further to postulate what a person such as CaseySJ might do: These forums have members who ... contribute to the community by sharing their experiences, solutions to problems, and advice on building and configuring Hackintosh systems.

While it may not know who I am, it has some sense of what I do. Although it does not specifically associate CaseySJ with a member who contributes to the community by sharing their experiences..., it nevertheless provided an extended reply that is in fact relevant and perhaps accidentally correct.

Some things to try first:
  • Reset NVRAM
  • If problem persists, perform CMOS Reset and configure BIOS parameters again
  • If problem persists, check EFI configuration — try going back to a previous EFI folder
  • If problem persists, try booting from your full bootable backup disk

Hi,
I did 1-4, but still not able to boot it,
Also I tried,
roll back to 2 previous efi ,
Start the installer,
Start the os from external drive,
Put the efi in a external efi partition.
Cannot boot at all.

Does the macOS installer start up properly?

Do you have a bootable backup? If so, does it boot properly?

If Windows or Linux is also installed, does it boot?
