Not a smart move.... I had a perfectly running system on 10.12.4. I updated my bios (for no good reason) from 1702 to 3401. Now the os does not even see my video card. The video runs at 1080p through the gpu but the hardware is not seen in the nvidia driver software. The nvidia driver is the correct version. I really don't think it's an issue with the driver. I'm as certain as I can be it has something to do with the bios upgrade.

It seems Asus does not allow rollbacks beyond a version or two. Asus has admitted as much and has said I can return by board on an RMA and they will downgrade the bios.

So, can I run with an updated bios (preferred method) OR
Send the mobo back to Asus.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Setup emulated NVRAM to store the nvda_drv=1 boot flag in boot-args.
