Hi everyone,

I am in the process of creating a first time hackintosh build for OSX High Sierra using:
  • Asus Z170-E
  • Asus Thunderbolt ex3 PCI-e card
  • Seagate 10 TB Data HDD
  • Samsung EVO 500 GB sata SSD
  • Intel Core i7-7700 3600 1151
  • Zotac GTX1070 Amp3 Extreme
  • 32 GB DDR4 Ram
First I updated my BIOS because my RAM wasn't working (only 8GB recognized) and after updating it showed 32GB.

I then installed windows and did the whole thunderbolt setup. I was able to connect a TB1 HDD using a TB<->TB3 adapter from apple.
Afterwards I used Clover configurator to install everything and I was finally able to boot into OSX.

I'm not at home right now but if needed I can provide my BIOS settings for the TB on the asus mobo.

My question is, has anyone recently tried to get this card to work? Reading up on it all I can find is threads of people not being able to get it working and being stuck. I haven't found anything related to clover configs specifically for the card so I woud expect it to work out of the box but no luck I guess.

I'm pretty disappointed by my problem- if this doesn't work I will have to buy a trash can for the client which is stupidly expensive :(

All in all thanks to this community, I was able to figure out everything up to this point using troubleshooting FAQ's on this forum but I'm stuck now so if someone has this working, please enlighten me :)

@kingbroos what is your bios rev?
I'm having trouble with a Samsung 960 Pro NVME drive, and a newer BIOS revision suggests a fix, but you know - never change a running system …

I'm on rev 3801 - had to bump because my RAM wasn't recognized.

I don't have an NVME SSD though, just a regular sata one
