I in the middle of rebuilding the usb tick (it will take a while)...

same bios

Hyper-Threading disabled (not sure how many cores mac os supports)
have Legacy USB support disabled
had XHCI enabled and EHCI disabled (synched to your config)
vt was disabled
had cms disabled

I have the same version of clover

I will go trough your args one by one and figure out the minimal version - I might spend one more hour or so today, will post results tomorrow.

@kylec

Ah ok.. :) Thanks..

@duskiv

The USB settings are all enabled. OS X is working with 24cores (48 threads). Good luck, have a good night and until tomorrow.. :thumbup:

Greetings from Germany

With 48 virtual cores? I thought that was supposed to be impossible. You might want to try disabling hyperthreading, and see if your mysterious lag issue goes away.

edit: whereas, duskiv, with dual 2630s, should theoretically be right at the limit with HT on.

Yes, all 48 core/threads.
I tried 12core, 24core without hyper-threading, and so on, but it is always laggy.. :problem:

I couldn´t believe it, but I saw it with my eyes.. :)
Think, Apple increased it in Capitan for Mac Pro 7.1?

I suppose they would have to, if they updated to Haswell and used something like a E5-2686 or E5-2696 v3, with 18 cores, as the top chip. :)

Wow. If these things are on Taobao already, then maybe Apple really will skip right to Broadwell-EP!
